Charlie was born on August 4th, 2016 with a rare genetic disease severely affecting his brain, muscle and his ability to breathe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Charlie&#8217;s parents, Chris Gard and Connie Yates have fought to keep their son alive, so they could take him to the United States to undergo an experimental therapy treatment to treat his condition. They raised \u00a31.4 million through donations coming from all across the world for Charlie.<\/p>\n<p>The European Court of Human Right&#8217;s was the last hope for Charlie&#8217;s parents to preserve their son&#8217;s life. A High Court judge, a Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court have already ruled against Charlie&#8217;s parents taking him the United States for the treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Update: President Trump has offered to help bring Charlie to the United States f or treatment.
