Reading 1<\/strong>\u00a0Rom 3:21-30<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Brothers and sisters:
\nNow the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law,
\nthough testified to by the law and the prophets,
\nthe righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ
\nfor all who believe.
\nFor there is no distinction;
\nall have sinned and are deprived of the glory of God.
\nThey are justified freely by his grace
\nthrough the redemption in Christ Jesus,
\nwhom God set forth as an expiation,
\nthrough faith, by his Blood, to prove his righteousness
\nbecause of the forgiveness of sins previously committed,
\nthrough the forbearance of God\u2013
\nto prove his righteousness in the present time,
\nthat he might be righteous
\nand justify the one who has faith in Jesus.<\/p>\n

What occasion is there then for boasting? It is ruled out.
\nOn what principle, that of works?
\nNo, rather on the principle of faith.
\nFor we consider that a person is justified by faith
\napart from works of the law.
\nDoes God belong to Jews alone?
\nDoes he not belong to Gentiles, too?
\nYes, also to Gentiles, for God is one
\nand will justify the circumcised on the basis of faith
\nand the uncircumcised through faith.<\/p>\n

Gospel<\/strong>\u00a0Lk 11:47-54<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The Lord said:
\n“Woe to you who build the memorials of the prophets whom your fathers killed.
\nConsequently, you bear witness and give consent
\nto the deeds of your ancestors,
\nfor they killed them and you do the building.
\nTherefore, the wisdom of God said,
\n‘I will send to them prophets and Apostles; some of them they will kill and persecute’
\nin order that this generation might be charged
\nwith the blood of all the prophets
\nshed since the foundation of the world,
\nfrom the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah
\nwho died between the altar and the temple building.
\nYes, I tell you, this generation will be charged with their blood!
\nWoe to you, scholars of the law!
\nYou have taken away the key of knowledge.
\nYou yourselves did not enter and you stopped those trying to enter.”
\nWhen Jesus left, the scribes and Pharisees
\nbegan to act with hostility toward him
\nand to interrogate him about many things,
