Reading 1<\/strong>\u00a0Rom 5:12, 15b, 17-19, 20b-21<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Brothers and sisters:
\nThrough one man sin entered the world,
\nand through sin, death,
\nand thus death came to all men, inasmuch as all sinned.<\/p>\n

If by that one person’s transgression the many died,
\nhow much more did the grace of God
\nand the gracious gift of the one man Jesus Christ
\noverflow for the many.
\nFor if, by the transgression of the one,
\ndeath came to reign through that one,
\nhow much more will those who receive the abundance of grace
\nand the gift of justification
\ncome to reign in life through the one Jesus Christ.
\nIn conclusion, just as through one transgression
\ncondemnation came upon all,
\nso, through one righteous act
\nacquittal and life came to all.
\nFor just as through the disobedience of one man
\nthe many were made sinners,
\nso, through the obedience of the one
\nthe many will be made righteous.
\nWhere sin increased, grace overflowed all the more,
\nso that, as sin reigned in death,
\ngrace also might reign through justification
\nfor eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.<\/p>\n

Gospel<\/strong>\u00a0Lk 12:35-38<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Jesus said to his disciples:
\n“Gird your loins and light your lamps and be like servants who await their master’s return from a wedding,
\nready to open immediately when he comes and knocks.
\nBlessed are those servants
\nwhom the master finds vigilant on his arrival.
\nAmen, I say to you, he will gird himself,
\nhave them recline at table, and proceed to wait on them.
\nAnd should he come in the second or third watch
\nand find them prepared in this way,
