First Reading –\u00a0Isaiah 2<\/span><\/h4>\n

This is what Isaiah, son of Amoz,
\nsaw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.<\/p>\n

In days to come,
\nThe mountain of the LORD’s house
\nshall be established as the highest mountain
\nand raised above the hills.
\nAll nations shall stream toward it;
\nmany peoples shall come and say:
\n“Come, let us climb the LORD’s mountain,
\nto the house of the God of Jacob,
\nThat he may instruct us in his ways,
\nand we may walk in his paths.”
\nFor from Zion shall go forth instruction,
\nand the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
\nHe shall judge between the nations,
\nand impose terms on many peoples.
\nThey shall beat their swords into plowshares
\nand their spears into pruning hooks;
\nOne nation shall not raise the sword against another,
\nnor shall they train for war again.<\/p>\n

O house of Jacob, come,
\nlet us walk in the light of the LORD!<\/p>\n

Gospel –\u00a0Matthew 8<\/span><\/h4>\n

When Jesus entered Capernaum,
\na centurion approached him and appealed to him, saying,
\n“Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, suffering dreadfully.”
\nHe said to him, “I will come and cure him.”
\nThe centurion said in reply,
\n“Lord, I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof;
\nonly say the word and my servant will be healed.
\nFor I too am a man subject to authority,
\nwith soldiers subject to me.
\nAnd I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes;
\nand to another, ‘Come here,’ and he comes;
\nand to my slave, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
\nWhen Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him,
\n“Amen, I say to you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith.
\nI say to you, many will come from the east and the west,
\nand will recline with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
