First Reading –\u00a0Sg 2<\/span><\/h4>\n

Hark! my lover\u2013here he comes
\nspringing across the mountains,
\nleaping across the hills.
\nMy lover is like a gazelle
\nor a young stag.
\nHere he stands behind our wall,
\ngazing through the windows,
\npeering through the lattices.
\nMy lover speaks; he says to me,
\n“Arise, my beloved, my dove, my beautiful one,
\nand come!
\n“For see, the winter is past,
\nthe rains are over and gone.
\nThe flowers appear on the earth,
\nthe time of pruning the vines has come,
\nand the song of the dove is heard in our land.
\nThe fig tree puts forth its figs,
\nand the vines, in bloom, give forth fragrance.
\nArise, my beloved, my beautiful one,
\nand come!<\/p>\n

“O my dove in the clefts of the rock,
\nin the secret recesses of the cliff,
\nLet me see you,
\nlet me hear your voice,
\nFor your voice is sweet,
\nand you are lovely.”<\/p>\n

Gospel – Luke 1<\/span><\/h4>\n

Mary set out in those days
\nand traveled to the hill country in haste
\nto a town of Judah,
\nwhere she entered the house of Zechariah
\nand greeted Elizabeth.
\nWhen Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting,
\nthe infant leaped in her womb,
\nand Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit,
\ncried out in a loud voice and said,
\n“Most blessed are you among women,
\nand blessed is the fruit of your womb.
\nAnd how does this happen to me,
\nthat the mother of my Lord should come to me?
\nFor at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears,
\nthe infant in my womb leaped for joy.
\nBlessed are you who believed
\nthat what was spoken to you by the Lord
