{"id":4378,"date":"2018-03-14T06:00:14","date_gmt":"2018-03-14T10:00:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sharecatholic.com\/blog\/?p=4378"},"modified":"2018-03-13T07:35:32","modified_gmt":"2018-03-13T11:35:32","slug":"mass-readings-march-14th-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sharecatholic.com\/blog\/mass-readings-march-14th-2018","title":{"rendered":"Mass Readings for March 14th 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia',serif; color: #993300;\">First Reading &#8211;\u00a0Is<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Thus says the LORD:<br \/>\nIn a time of favor I answer you,<br \/>\non the day of salvation I help you;<br \/>\nand I have kept you and given you as a covenant to the people,<br \/>\nTo restore the land<br \/>\nand allot the desolate heritages,<br \/>\nSaying to the prisoners: Come out!<br \/>\nTo those in darkness: Show yourselves!<br \/>\nAlong the ways they shall find pasture,<br \/>\non every bare height shall their pastures be.<br \/>\nThey shall not hunger or thirst,<br \/>\nnor shall the scorching wind or the sun strike them;<br \/>\nFor he who pities them leads them<br \/>\nand guides them beside springs of water.<br \/>\nI will cut a road through all my mountains,<br \/>\nand make my highways level.<br \/>\nSee, some shall come from afar,<br \/>\nothers from the north and the west,<br \/>\nand some from the land of Syene.<br \/>\nSing out, O heavens, and rejoice, O earth,<br \/>\nbreak forth into song, you mountains.<br \/>\nFor the LORD comforts his people<br \/>\nand shows mercy to his afflicted.<\/p>\n<p>But Zion said, &#8220;The LORD has forsaken me;<br \/>\nmy Lord has forgotten me.&#8221;<br \/>\nCan a mother forget her infant,<br \/>\nbe without tenderness for the child of her womb?<br \/>\nEven should she forget,<br \/>\nI will never forget you.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia',serif; color: #993300;\">Gospel -Jn 5<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: start; widows: 2; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; word-spacing: 0px;\">Jesus answered the Jews:<br \/>\n&#8220;My Father is at work until now, so I am at work.&#8221;<br \/>\nFor this reason they tried all the more to kill him,<br \/>\nbecause he not only broke the sabbath<br \/>\nbut he also called God his own father, making himself equal to God.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus answered and said to them,<br \/>\n&#8220;Amen, amen, I say to you, the Son cannot do anything on his own,<br \/>\nbut only what he sees the Father doing;<br \/>\nfor what he does, the Son will do also.<br \/>\nFor the Father loves the Son<br \/>\nand shows him everything that he himself does,<br \/>\nand he will show him greater works than these,<br \/>\nso that you may be amazed.<br \/>\nFor just as the Father raises the dead and gives life,<br \/>\nso also does the Son give life to whomever he wishes.<br \/>\nNor does the Father judge anyone,<br \/>\nbut he has given all judgment to the Son,<br \/>\nso that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father.<br \/>\nWhoever does not honor the Son<br \/>\ndoes not honor the Father who sent him.<br \/>\nAmen, amen, I say to you, whoever hears my word<br \/>\nand believes in the one who sent me<br \/>\nhas eternal life and will not come to condemnation,<br \/>\nbut has passed from death to life.<br \/>\nAmen, amen, I say to you, the hour is coming and is now here<br \/>\nwhen the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God,<br \/>\nand those who hear will live.<br \/>\nFor just as the Father has life in himself,<br \/>\nso also he gave to the Son the possession of life in himself.<br \/>\nAnd he gave him power to exercise judgment,<br \/>\nbecause he is the Son of Man.<br \/>\nDo not be amazed at this,<br \/>\nbecause the hour is coming in which all who are in the tombs<br \/>\nwill hear his voice and will come out,<br \/>\nthose who have done good deeds<br \/>\nto the resurrection of life,<br \/>\nbut those who have done wicked deeds<br \/>\nto the resurrection of condemnation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I cannot do anything on my own;<br \/>\nI judge as I hear, and my judgment is just,<br \/>\nbecause I do not seek my own will<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: start; widows: 2; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; word-spacing: 0px;\">\n<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Georgia',serif; color: #993300;\">This is the\u00a0Word of the Lord.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>First Reading &#8211;\u00a0Is Thus says the LORD: In a time of favor I answer you, on the day of salvation I help you; and I have kept you and given you as a covenant to the people, To restore the land and allot the desolate heritages, Saying to the prisoners: Come out!
