Heavenly Father, I want to get married. But looking around, I feel afraid. So many marriages seem to be unhappy for one reason or another. I want a happy marriage with a right partner.

I know, Father, that nobody is perfect and so I don’t expect perfection in my partner. But I want someone who will be tolerant and understanding and loving in a true sense.

Guide my steps and lead me to the person who will both understand and love me as I am. And may our love be like yours for us so that the home we make together will be a little heaven on earth filled always with love even when it is overshadowed by suffering.
