Yesterday my wife and I visited the residents of a nursing home, as we do every Tuesday. One of the residents was not having a good day. She was resentful, stressed and angry for being there because she felt unwanted and neglected by the staff and fellow residents.
The three of us spoke for over 30 minutes, and we had a great conversation. We agreed that God places each of us in whatever happens to be our daily routine only because He loves us. If we really and truly love our God, each of us then simply embraces our reality, the reality in which God has placed us. We live it cheerfully, and love our God in return for having created and placed us in that very reality.
We let go of everything, including our resentment, stress and anger, and just thankfully live our daily routine. In other words, we become free, free at last!
Thank You, my Lord and God, for having been with the three of us during our conversation. Please help her and the other residents as well and help us to embrace and cheerfully live the reality in which You have placed us.
